Lester M. Salamon è Direttore del John Hopkins Centre per gli Studi della Società Civile. Il Dottor Salamon ha aperto la strada allo studio empirico del settore non-profit negli Stati Uniti e ha esteso la sua opera ad altre parti del mondo.
