Attualmente è anche commentatore di PBS NewsHour, di All Things Considered della NPR e di Meet the Press della NBC. Insegna anche all’Università di Yale ed è mebro dell’American Academy of Arts and Sciences. È autore di Bobos in Paradise: The New Upper Class and How They Got There e di On Paradise Drive: How We Live Now (And Always Have) in the Future Tense. Nel 2011 il suo terzo libro, intitolato The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love, Character and Achievement è stato il primo best seller del New York Times.
