After the successful attempt of “The Aztecs and Their Roots” in 1985, since 1992 important and prestigious exhibitions, the so-called “Great Exhibitions,” have been following each other and have become an important cultural patrimony also for the city of Rimini.

These exhibitions, realized at a different location than where the Meeting takes place, are displayed for longer periods than the length of the Meeting itself. They are generally excellent events in the archeological field or in the figurative arts field. They are characterized by an original and stimulating cultural path, by the high level of the scientific committee, and by the quantity and often the exceptionality of the works of art and of the archeological finds.

In these years, in collaboration with the main museums of the world, the Meeting proposed 23 great exhibitions that have been visited by 1 million people as a whole.
