The Meeting Children’s Village has always been a treasure chest full of surprises and at the Meeting 2023 it will be full of new proposals... all with the aim of giving life and shape to this year’s title “Human existence is an inexhaustible friendship”.

The theme of friendship in some of its historical and artistic forms, will be addressed in the exhibition “FRIENDSHIP IN[TO]-POSSIBLE. JANNIS KOUNELLIS AND TIZIANO VECELLIO”.

An interactive exhibition full of surprises, a dialogue between a contemporary artist and one of the past, to tell that bonds can overcome time and space if you have a common love.

Friendship will also be the protagonist of the exhibition “PETER PAN: LOVE IS A WINDOW THAT NEVER CLOSES”, an experiential journey in which to relive the story of Peter Pan and Wendy written by James Matthew Barrie.

Inside the exhibition it will be possible to play with Peter Pan and his friends and discover the meaning of the eternally kept open window, waiting for the moment when Peter (like each of us!) will decide to grow up and choose reality instead of eternal immobility.

From the proposal of this exhibition was born the idea of a theatrical show for the whole family entitled “NO CHILD IS LOST”.

During the day the Village area will offer over 100 workshops (for children aged 3 to 10 years) dedicated to art, creativity, science, history, Italian, mathematics, English, motor play workshops and manuals... In short, there will be fun, each according to their skills and abilities together with the volunteers!

In the Enjoy Square area, dedicated to middle school students, every day there will be workshops to create video trailers, on the theme of photography and journalism, combined with meetings with people who work in fascinating fields such as art, science, comics, media.

Into the Children’s Village we will find the area of Tales with daily readings and the wrapping-theater, the children’s library curated by Itaca, a space dedicated to the crib curated by Father Marco Finco, the family garden to relax a little with the little ones and the Baby Club by the Serviceweb cooperative.

In the board games area, there will be breathtaking matches, tournaments and above all you will discover prototypes of new games... knowing the authors!

An important return will be the project “The caress of the Village”, managed by the Care and Rehabilitation Cooperative, to respond to the need of people with disabilities and their families to be accompanied within the Meeting.

The Children’s Village will be open from 11 am to 8 pm.

Admission is free for everyone but from this year in addition to the exhibitions you can also book the workshops from the APP Meeting and website.
