Angelo Sticchi Damiani has been the president of the ACI Federation – Automobile Club d’Italia since 2011, as he received this position for the first time and was then reconfirmed for a second term in 2016.
Damiani is a civil engineer and road designer and has been in the ACI Federation since 1975, as he joined the Italian Automobile Sports Commission. In 1990 he was appointed president of the Automobile Club of Lecce and in 2009 he was at the head of the Csai.
Among other roles, he is National Councillor of the Italian National Olympic Committee CONI that awarded him the Gold Star for sporting merit in 2010.
On an international level, he is a member of the FIA Senate, the FIA World Sports Council and the FIA Euroboard.
