Saltamacchia Martina

Born in Rapallo in 1981, Martina Saltamacchia is a Lecturer in Medieval History at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She was previously a Teaching Assistant at Bocconi University and Rutgers University.
She studied Economics at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, where she went on to earn a Ph.D. in Economic and Social History. She holds a Ph.D. in Medieval History from Rutgers University (New Jersey).
She is the author of “Milan: A People and its Cathedral” (2007) and “Building Cathedrals” (2011) on the construction and stories of the donors of Milan Cathedral; she was also curator of the exhibition Ad Usum Fabricae. The Infinite Shapes the Work; the Construction of the Milan Cathedral at the Rimini Meeting in 2012.
She is a member of the American Historical Association (AHA) Medieval Academy of America (MAA) Mid-America Medieval Association (MAMA).
