Perillo Davide
Born 1966. With a degree in Philosophy, then a master’s degree at the Rizzoli School of Journalism, he has always been a journalist: the beginning at the Gazzetta dello Sport, two years at L’Europeo, twelve at Sette/Corriere della Sera, where he was editor-in-chief, then another thirteen at the direction of Tracce, CL’s international monthly magazine, where he launched the online edition, the new website and social channels. And where, over time, he has been very much involved in the Third Sector and volunteerism, meeting and reporting – in person or through my collaborators – on dozens of nonprofits.
He also dealt with them for the Rimini Meeting, Europe’s largest cultural event: he moderated several meetings, in 2021 he curated a (very visited) exhibition on TV Series.
Alongside storytelling, he has been involved in training: taught courses on Writing for the Web at Eni Corporate University, Media Training sessions to managers of various companies, meetings and seminars for associations and nonprofit entities.
Since 2021 he has been teaching courses on “Storytelling for the Third Sector.”
He has written several books. The last one came out at the end of August 2022, is titled I vostri nomi sono scritti nei cieli (Bur-Rizzoli) and tells the story of Rose Busingye, the Ugandan nurse who, thanks to the work of Meeting Point International, helps women and boys in Kampala rediscover their dignity. A beautiful story of redemption, faith and hope.
