Mantovano Alfredo
Alfredo Mantovano is an Italian magistrate and politician (born in Lecce in 1958). He has been in the judiciary since 1983, serving as a magistrate in various roles. From 1985 to 1987, he was a magistrate in Ginosa, and from 1988 to 1996, he served as a criminal judge in the Lecce court. He was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1996 and 2001 as a member of the Alleanza Nazionale party. From 2001 to 2006, he held the position of Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior in the Berlusconi II and III governments. In 2006, he was e lected to the Senate as a member of the Alleanza Nazionale and was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies as a member of the Popolo della Libertà party in 2008. From 2008 to 2011, he served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior in the Berlusconi IV government. From 2013 to 2018, he was a councilor in the IV Criminal Section of the Court of Appeal of Rome, and since 2018, he has been a councilor at the Court of Cassation. Since October 23, 2022, he has been Undersecretary of State at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in the Meloni government, with the role of Secretary of the Council.
