Director of CESP – Public Health Research Center at the University of Milano-Bicocca; he is also Director of the School of Specialization in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine and Professor of Public Health for the School of Medicine and Surgery of the same university.
He is currently President of the Italy-Milan Chapter of ISPOR and Director of the Value-Added Health Unit of the IRCCS Multimedica Research Hospital.
He has been an advisor to several agencies of the Italian National Health Service, President of the Hygiene and Health Commission of the Italian Senate and of the Health and Social Policies Commission of the Lombardy Region
Co-author of over 180 articles published in specialized scientific journals including the European Heart Journal and the European Journal of Public Health.
