Maltoni Marco
Director of the Palliative Care Unit of Forli and member of the Scientific Technical Committee of the IRCCS Istituto Tumori Romagna (IRST); he is also a member of the board of directors of the Medicina e Persona Association and president of the association “On Cicely’s Path.”
His main areas of interest and study are continuity of care between oncology and palliative care, prognosis factors, treatment of symptoms, and ethical aspects in the care of advanced patients (palliative sedation).
He has more than 180 publications in national and international scientific journals to his credit and is the author/editor of six volumes. He has participated in more than 250 conferences in Italy and abroad.
Winner of the 2015-2017 Ministerial Finalized Research Project on Early Palliative Care.
