Malaspina Sonia
HR Director Danone Group Italy & Greece cluster.
Sonia Malaspina, born in Milan in 1970, holds a degree in Languages from the Università Cattolica. She is a mother of a 10-year-old girl. She has worked in personnel management roles at Lucent Technologies, Dell, and Kellogg. In 2011, she joined Mellin, a company that is part of the Danone group, as HR Director. In 2016, she also assumed the role of HR Director for Danone in the Italy and Greece cluster. In 2018, she was promoted to HR Director for the Southeast Europe cluster. Mellin has been recognized as a Great Place to Work from 2013 to 2018 and as a GPTW for Women in 2017 and 2018.
She is passionate about diversity management, intercultural relationships, and inclusion. In 2011, she launched “Il Baby Decalogo” at Mellin, an initiative inspired by “Un Fiocco In Azienda” by Manageritalia. It involves implementing concrete measures for mothers returning to work after maternity leave, providing benefits for fathers, and offering tangible support to families through the introduction of welfare and smart working. The Baby Decalogue, launched in 2011 to bridge the gap between the world of work and motherhood, inspired the parental policy adopted in all Danone companies worldwide (100,000 people). In 2014, she received the Aldai Talent and Merit Award as the best manager for this project. She has participated in various technical committees on welfare and equal opportunities.
