Philosopher, sociologist, psychoanalyst, academic and journalist
Since 1999 he has been full professor at the Ca Foscari University of Venice, holder of the chair of Philosophy of History. Since 1985 he has been an ordinary member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology.
He completed studies in philosophy, cultural anthropology and psychology. Since 1976 he has been professor in charge of Cultural Anthropology and since 1983 associate professor of Philosophy of History.
During his stays in Germany he was a student of Jaspers, of whom he translated and edited On Truth (anthological collection), The School, The philosophical faith, Philosophy. He translated and edited the Heidegger’ work “On the Essence of Truth”.
