Furlan Annamaria
Sixty-two years old, from Genoa, Annamaria Furlan started her trade union activity in 1980 as delegate of Silulap, the Cisl category of postal workers, of which she later became provincial and regional secretary.
Afterwards he led the Cisl of Genoa and the regional Cisl of Liguria.
In 2002 she was elected Confederal Secretary of the CISL, with responsibility for the Tertiary and Services sector, in addition to agri-food and energy policies. She has followed in particular the policies of trade, tourism, credit, insurance, telecommunications, entertainment, publishing, transport, postal service, authority.
On 24 June 2014 she was elected Deputy Secretary General of the CISL and on 8 October 2014 she was elected Secretary General of the CISL. On 1 July 2017 she was confirmed Secretary General by the 18th CISL Confederal Congress.
She is married, has a son and a granddaughter, Francesca.
