Born in 1962 in Burzaco (Argentina), di Paola is a priest of the diocesan clergy of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. He spent 12 years in Villa 21 in the Argentinian capital; in 2009 he was transferred to a province 1200 kilometers from Buenos Aries, Santiago del Estero, in the agricultural community of Campogallo, following the death threats that he received from drug traffickers.
Since three years ago, he was established in a suburb of Buenos Aires, in an area of slums, and is the pastor of the parish of Saint John Bosco, on whose territory there are 4 poverty villas.
