Born in Italy and raised between South America, Asia and Europe, Giovanna has 18 years of experience in the field of philanthropy, business ethics and CSR gained alongside STMicroelectronics as a CSR specialist in 2003; at Fondazione ST as Deputy Director of Operations in 2006; at the Italian Centre for Social Responsibility (I-CSR) of the Ministry of Labour as Head of External Communication; and various consulting agencies specialised in the field of sustainability.
She graduated in Political Science and International Politics at the University of Milan, following her natural curiosity and desire to learn, she completed her training with a master’s degree in Corporate Social Responsibility (University of Pisa), another in Integrated Communication (Business School Sole 24 Ore) and a third in Business Process Innovation (Milan Polytechnic). In 2016 she obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Management of Non-Profit Organizations at the University of Geneva.
In 2012 STMicroelectronics Foundation decided to call in an external consultant to carry out the role until then played by the Chief Operating Officer. Since then Giovanna has been formally appointed as Operations Senior Consultant reporting to the President of the Foundation and coordinates the Foundation’s educational projects in all countries of intervention.
