Rimini, Thursday August 25th, 2022 The 43rd edition of the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples ends today.

Here are the main attendance numbers to the event. The overall attendance, back to pre-pandemic levels, was 800,000, for an event that took place in the Rimini Exhibition Centre over a total area of 100,000 square metres. More than 80,000 in person attendances at the conferences, over 100,000 visits to the 14 exhibitions, while 10,000 were present at the Villaggio Ragazzi Generali (Children's Village), dedicated to children and young people from 2 to 12 years of age, which covered an area of 6,000 square metres.

There was also ample space for sports to the Meeting that made a comeback to full attendance, with 90 camps (15 per day) and over 5,000 people registered.

15 shows were offered this year: those held at the central Galli Theatre sold out every evening. There were 2950 seats at the restaurant tables.

The beating heart of the event, well-highlighted in the media yesterday by the group photo with President Mario Draghi, were the 3,000 volunteers, 500 in the pre-Meeting and 2,500 during the Meeting.

The media presence was also very significant, with over 400 accredited journalists and operators and 4,700 issues on the press, web, TV and radio during the six-day event.
