FAQ – How to participate in the Meeting 2023

How to participate in the Meeting 2023?
Through the updated version of the “Meeting Rimini” App. Previous versions will not work for this year’s edition.

How can I get or update the app?
If you have an Android phone, you can update or download it from Google Play. If you use an iPhone, you can get it from the App Store. And if you have a Huawei smartphone, you can download it from the Huawei Store App if you have the latest generation device.

What can you do with the app?
The app has several functionalities. It allows you to:
– Physically access the Fair during the Meeting by generating an entrance ticket (available from July 15th)
– Reserve visits to exhibitions (available from August 1st)
– Book participation in conferences (available from July 15th)
– Book participation in shows and access the VivaTicket platform to purchase tickets for paid shows (operational from June 15th)
– Reserve visits to exhibitions and workshops in the Villaggio Ragazzi (available from August 1st)
– Register for sports events (available from August 1st)
– Check the Meeting’s schedule
– Build your personal agenda
– Read news
– View the Fair’s map
– Associate people to your profile to create their entrance ticket and book events on their behalf
– Create groups of friends to book the same events together

I have downloaded or updated the app. What should I do to participate in the Meeting?

Register: If you are a new user, the app will ask you to create your account by providing the required information.
Login: If you already have credentials to use the app, you need to log in. You can also log in using your social media accounts.

Once logged in, you can generate the entrance ticket (MyTicket), which consists of a personal QR code.

Can I register other people using the app?
The app allows you to associate up to 10 people – friends, acquaintances, or family members – to your account who do not have the app. The process is straightforward; you need to click on “Account” and go to the “My Guests” section, providing the required information. Keep in mind that all reservations (entrances, conferences, exhibitions, etc.) for these people must be managed by you. If they have smartphones, it is recommended that they create their own accounts.
The association of a guest will be active from July 15th.

What about minors?
If your children are under 14, they should be associated with your account, and therefore, you will need to plan their possible participation in events. Children aged 14 to 18 (based on the registration date, not the access to the Fair) can freely download the app. However, when they want to generate their entrance ticket, they need to request permission from a parent (or guardian). The app itself will recognize the date of birth and send a notification to the parent, who must have the app. Permission is requested only once; once received, the minor can independently organize their stay at the Meeting.

What if I want to come to the Meeting with a group of friends?
The app allows you to create groups of up to 30 people (who must have the app). Users you invite can also add guests associated with their own profiles (always within the app’s limit of 30 participants in total).

What if my group exceeds 30 people?
Once the group reaches 30 participants, the app will send a warning indicating that the group has reached the limit of 30 people. The email address indicated by the app will be used to contact the Meeting and manage larger groups.

How can I book visits to exhibitions?
From August 1st, you can book visits to exhibitions by selecting the “Exhibitions” section from the “Categories” menu on the app’s homepage. You will be asked to indicate with whom you want to participate (your guests or the group), and then available time slots will be shown for various days, taking into account the number of people you want to include. Once confirmed, the reservation will be automatically saved in your agenda.

How about participating in conferences?
Starting from the app’s homepage, go to “Categories” and select “Conferences.” Choose the conference you are interested in (and indicate the people you want to participate with – guests or group). The reservation will be saved in your agenda. You can book conferences from July 15th.
Note: The app will indicate if the available seats are less than the number of people you want to include.

How can I participate in shows? Is there an entrance fee?
As you can see from the program, there are various types of access to shows:
– Some are free admission, such as concerts at the Piscine venue.
– For other free admission shows, you need to book them through the app, using the same procedures as for conferences (e.g., “Spirto Gentil” events).
– For paid shows at the Teatro Galli, you can use the app. Start from the homepage, go to “Categories” and select “Shows,” choose the show you are interested in, and you will be redirected to the VivaTicket platform, where you can already purchase tickets (from June 15th). You can also access VivaTicket from the Meeting’s website.

Does the app cover activities in the Villaggio Ragazzi?
The Villaggio Ragazzi (C5 pavilion) is freely accessible; the app is used to book visits to the exhibitions and numerous workshops inside. You can make reservations starting from August 1st.
The app has a filter to find activities based on age, making it easier to book for minors.

How do I access the Sports area?
You can freely access the Sports area (Cittadella dello Sport – A7/C7); however, if you want to participate in the sports camps, you need to book them starting from August 1st in the “Sports” section of the app.

I read the FAQ, but there are still unresolved issues. What can I do?
Write to assistenza@meetingrimini.org, and we will respond as soon as possible. If you do not have a smartphone and cannot be associated with another person’s account, you can generate your entrance ticket and other reservations through the Meeting’s website.
Please note that this method offers fewer functionalities compared to the app.

What if last-minute problems arise while I’m already in Rimini?
You can turn to the two help desks located at the South and West entrances of the Fair.
Inside the Fair, in the central hall, the Infopoint will assist you in making reservations and provide support for any other issues.

What if I want to follow the Meeting on digital channels?
The Meeting will be held entirely in person, but at the same time, it will also be fully digital. You can follow the Meeting’s conferences live in Italian, English, and Spanish on the website www.meetingrimini.org and the YouTube channel “Meeting Rimini.” The videos will be available later on the same platforms in other languages.
