Our National Health Service is faltering. While its universalism remains a pride when compared to other liberal democracies, its ability to guarantee access to health for all is increasingly restricted, particularly struggling to meet the needs of the most vulnerable. Any discussion on socio-health services should never overlook the Third Sector, which provides at least a fifth of the entire Italian socio-health offer for free.
