Sandra Sabattini was born in Riccione on 19 th of August 1961. Twelve years ago, she met Don Oreste Benzi, founder of the Pope John XXIII Community. She also chooses to share her life with people with severe disabilities and drug addicts and for this reason she enrolls in the Faculty of Medicine. In Bologna where he meets Guido Rossi: they both choose to be chaste, waiting to get married and to leave missionaries in Africa. On the morning of April 29 th, 1984, as he got out of the car to attend a community meeting, he was hit by another car and died after a three-day coma on May 2 nd , 1984. Don Benzi promoted the start of his beatification cause . On March 6 th 2018 Pope Francis authorized the promulgation of the decree by which Sandra was declared Venerable.
