INCREASING THE VALUE AND RESILIENCE OF COFFEE IN AFRICA

The event will provide an opportunity for discussion on the coffee sector in Africa, addressing challenges and solutions adopted by Italian Cooperation, the United Nations system, African intergovernmental counterparts, and the private sector. Additionally, the coffee project in Africa, initiated by Italian Cooperation together with UNIDO and private partners, will be presented. This project aims to improve the resilience of coffee to climate change, increase its value, and support the socio-economic development of local communities. The project leverages the experience accumulated in previous interventions by Italian Cooperation and the expertise of the Italian coffee supply chain, involving companies and specialized training and research centers.
