The Children’s Renaissance: 600 years of hosting children at Florence’s Innocenti Hospital

The exhibition aims to celebrate the 600 th anniversary of the hospital’s foundation, showing the extraordinary reality, the past and the present, of the first work totally dedicated to childhood in our history.
The videos shows the reproduction of the works that enriches the Innocenti museum the exhibition will be divided into 3 sections. The first, tells the genesis of the Institute, the key figures for the realization of the work and the fundamental steps that have expanded and transformed the building, in the 600 years of history. The second section focuses on life in the hospital, and the stories of some children welcomed over time. The third, through the precious works of art commissioned by the institutions and donated by the many benefactors over the centuries to the Institute, deepens the close link between beauty and charity.
