European town squares
‘The exhibition presents the photographs of 33 among the most significant and evocative squares in the European Community. The photographs have been taken by the best-known European photographers and are almost all shown for the first time. The exhibition is also enriched by deep cultural and social analysis, about the attempt to give back to the now run-down squares, their original value, as symbols of history, civilisation and common life. As typical European inventions, squares pride themselves on a history which is detailed and deepened by the exhibition.’
