In Brescello, in the church dedicated to Maria Nascent, stands Don Camillo’s Crucifix, the talking Christ made famous by the films but much more present in the stories of Giovannino Guareschi’s “Little World.” Present and protagonist, capable of bringing everyone together, we want to tell you about that merciful and smiling Jesus, patient and understanding, capable of listening and suggesting the best course of action. Just like our conscience. With one difference: Don Camillo’s Crucifix is God. And, unlike us humans, it can perform miracles, speaking to the soul always and only with the voice of the heart.
