The Exhibits
1) With the eyes of Marcellino. Exhibit on the film “Marcellino pane e vino”, directed in the 1950's by the Hungarian director Ladislao Vajda and based on the novel of the same name by the Spanish writer José Maria Sánchez Silva. The exhibit helps us see all the extraordinary reality of the little Saint. The film tells the story of a child with twelve fathers (the twelve friars who welcomed him after being abandoned at birth and took care of him with love), but that was experiencing an unshakeable desire for his mother who had never seen, having died giving him birth.
By reservation (also ON LINE): daily guided visits starting at 11.00 AM (every 20 minutes).
2) I, Pinocchio. Following the small steps of a puppet and his caring dad. The exhibit recaptures the story of the famous puppet, allowing the child who watchs it to discover the meaning of being a son. Pinocchio, amidst his turning away from his father and his mischief, he continually finds himself re-searching for the forgiveness of his dad and always returning to that relationship between father and son that gives him his identity.
By reservation (also ON LINE): daily guided visits starting at 11.00 AM (every 20 minutes).
3) The Crèche… how wonderful! Show by and with Padre Marco Finco and students of the Università Cattolica di Milano on "the art of the crèche." From the first "living" crèche, made by San Francesco in Greccio in 1223, the crèche in fact entered into the Franciscan tradition as a legacy passed down from brother to brother... like from father to son.
About reservations (also ON LINE): daily guided visits starting at 11.00 AM (every 20 minutes).
