Ettore Bassi, born on April 16, 1970 in Bari, is an Italian actor of great talent and versatility. After graduating from high school, he studied acting at the “Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia” in Rome. He began his career as a television host, becoming known with programs such as “La Banda dello Zecchino”. His success continued in theater, cinema and especially on television with roles in popular series such as “Carabinieri”, “La Porta Rossa” and “L’Isola di Pietro”. During 2006 and 2007 he worked on the fiction “Nati ieri” in which he played the pediatrician Corrado Milani and “Giuseppe Moscati. L’amore che guarisce” on Rai 1, with Beppe Fiorello. Also in 2007 he acted in the miniseries “Chiara e Francesco” in which he played the role of Saint Francis; this earned him international recognition as best television actor. Two years later, Ettore Bassi took part in “Bakhita” (about the life of Saint Josephine Bakhita) directed by Giacomo Campiotti on Rai 1; he also acted in “Mal’aria” by Paolo Bianchini. He also acted in films such as “Il figlio della luna”. Bassi received various awards, including the Premio Flaiano and the Telegatto, attesting to his impact on the Italian artistic scene. Ettore Bassi has always alternated his television career with theatre work; he acted in the shows “Il Muro” written and directed by Angelo Longoni; the opera “Trappola Mortale” directed by Ennio Coltorti, in 2015 earned him the Charlot Teatro award. From 2015 to 2017 he also worked on the show “L’amore Migliora la Vita” directed by Angelo Longoni. In the same period he played the role of Angelo Vassallo in the show “Il sindaco Pescatore”, directed by Enrico Maria Lamanna.
