Road to Meeting 2024… fifth stage

The fifth stage of Road to Meeting 24 takes us to New York. During the New York Encounter, Alessandra and Marco, in charge of the Meeting’s exhibitions and conferences, met Martina Saltamacchia, curator of the exhibition dedicated to Cormac McCarthy, which will be held at the Meeting 2024.
The experiential path of the exhibition will develop in seven stations, corresponding to as many key themes of the American writer, who left us last year at the age of 90, from which the title of the Meeting "If we are not after the essential, then what are we after?".
The visitor can relive the places and people most dear to Mc Carthy through songs heard and evocative images in which to immerse and identify, reliving the depth of his gaze and his experience of contact with the absolute.

The work in progress towards the exhibition includes a meeting with the visual artist Erin K. McAtee, friend of the curator Stas' Gawronski.
Alessandra, Marco and Martina are talking with her to define her contribution to the realization of the exhibition.
At the end of the exhibition there will be an open space accessible to all, visitors and not, where to deepen the themes of the exhibition in dialogue with curators, artists and guests who will offer their contribution, in comparison with the human experience and the literary production of McCarthy.
