Director of the Second Welfare Pathways Laboratory (Laboratorio Percorsi di Secondo Welfare) and researcher at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan and Associate Professor at the same University, where she teaches Social and Labor policies and Health and Socio-Health policies. She is a member of the Editorial Committee of the State and the Market (Stato e Mercato) and of the Italian Journal of Public Policies (Rivista Italiana di Politiche Pubbliche), as well as of numerous scientific committees of foundations and organizations. From 2006 to 2011 she was coordinator of the scientific program of the Graduate School in Social, Economic & Political Sciences of the University of Milan. She carried out consultancy assignments for the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies.
Together with Maurizio Ferrera, she edits the biennial reports on the second welfare in Italy.
